After a very busy 2015 competing in the European FIA Formula 3 Championship Series , Matt completed the year conducting some seat time in the Mucke Motorsports Mercedes powered Dallara F3 Car. Some impressive outings at Portimao and Jerez saw Matthew well placed to embark in his 2nd year in Europe, racing in the FIA Euro F3 series again. A late change of plan in early 2016 saw Matthew move to Australia to focus on his studies majoring in Economics with an eye firmly on getting back into the seat of a race car.

2016 has seen a successful start to the year with a podium in the 1st round of the Australian GT championship at the Adelaide Clipsal 500 driving the "Geelong Sales Company" Mercedes AMG GT. Matthew claimed a world 1st by putting the new Mercedes on the podium. This success has been replicated in Melbourne in front of a world audience at the F1 GP round of the Championship with a 1st place in race 3, fastest lap and a 1st across the line in race 4.  This was particularly sweet with a lights to flag win leading the pack by nearly 10 seconds. A small break saw Matt jump into the Ligier LMP3 car for the Asian Le Mans Sprint cup, claiming Pole position, and 2 consecutive race wins setting multiple lap records and fastest laps of the race.
