Suzuka Race Day Race day came and again beautiful conditions prevailed. After putting in some very quick laps 0.50s faster than yesterday, Matt had qualified 11th in group A. A strong start in race 1 and a few changes of position, Matt finished again 11th. With the huge grids for the race, only 34 drivers went through from the 43 strong field. Matt was in 22nd as the system calls for the 2 heats to line up along side each other for the final. A brilliant start moving to the outside saw Matt move into 11th after a 1st corner pile up saw front runners get tangled.. A driver starting in 27th cut the corner driving past the field and moved itno 12th position. Matt managed to hold onto the 11th slot for 8 laps when the same driver made a lunge for into the last corner causing both of them to drop back 10 places. Matt fought hard to make up 2 places finishing in 19th overall. A great weekend and thanks must go to Kenji and Matsuda and their teams for making the weekend a good as it was. MSR will be back.
